Medicare Marketing Reminders and Expectations for Medicare Advantage & Medicare Prescription Drug Plans for 2011/2012 (Added 10/19/2011)
Marketing of the 2012 Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug plans has already started, and starting this year, open enrollment begins and ends earlier, October 15- December 7, 2011. During this time, members can change their Medicare health Plan or prescription drug coverage for 2012. Iowa is getting National press regarding the legislation that is at the Capital currently. We have SF 391 Senate Exchange Bill from Senator Rielly that is getting a lot of attention. It has been mentioned in the following articles at Kaiser Family Foundation and the Washington Post. We have two of our own members quoted in these articles; Jesse Patton and Dave Ver Woert. We have been working hard to secure the agent/broker role in our State. A BIG THANKS goes out to our legislative team that has been working tirelessly over the last several years to show what it is that we do for our clients, the Iowa Consumers. We need to make sure that we are all contacting our representatives too. Personal stories regarding our services are what is going to make them understand what it is we really do.
